Just Announced! FMHA will host an Open House in honor of Veterans Day on Saturday, November 11th. The Open House, featuring tours of Battery 519, will be held from 10AM – 3PM. TOURS WILL BE FREE OF CHARGE TO ALL VETERANS! Commencing at 10AM tours will be offered by both FMHA originating at Battery 519 and by Delaware State Parks (at 11AM and 2PM) originating from the Fort Miles Orientation Building.

Plans call for both of the Battery 519 art galleries to be open which will give visitors access to original paintings by Howard Schroeder and Paul Rendel, as well as an opportunity to see the “Two Ships at Sea” painting on loan to the Museum from Lydia Wagamon. This painting was completed by a German POW in 1946 and gifted to Lydia, who was a PBX operator at Fort Miles during WWII. The Fort Miles Museum Gift Shop will also be open, with new “stocking stuffer” holiday items available for purchase.

Please note that standard Delaware State Parks’ fees to enter Cape Henlopen State Park will be in effect until November 30th
